OFFICIAL: New Smash Bros. DLC Announced!
The FINAL Super Smash Bros. Direct has now come and gone and all we can say is… wow. You knew Cloud was being shown, but Nintendo held back a few surprises! It’s now official, the final newcomers to Smash 4 are…
Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates and Bayonetta! In case you missed it, Bayonetta was, in fact, the Smash Ballot winner. Both characters will be released in February 2016. We’re also getting more new Mii Costumes in February 2016 including Tails and Knuckles!
Along with these newcomers, Nintendo officially showcased Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy), the Midgar stage, a Chocobo Mii outfit and a Geno Mii outfit! Yep, that’s right, Geno from Super Mario RPG is in Smash Bros. Well, only as a Mii costume, of course. Many people are disappointed he didn’t make it in as a fighter, but just like King K. Rool, there’s always Smash 5 (sorry, guys!).
As you probably have guessed, Cloud and the new Mii costumes will be available on the Nintendo EShop later today along with the 1.1.3 balance patch. The price for Cloud and the Midgar stage is $5.99 for Wii U or 3DS and $6.99 if you want them for both systems.
