Kombat Pack 2 Gameplay Trailer Released
This morning Neatherrealm Studios released a brand new video featuring never-before-seen gameplay footage of Kombat Pack 2 from Mortal Kombat X. Check it out!
Not only do we see some awesome footage of each new fighter (including all 3 of Tri-Borg’s variations) in action, but we also get a glimpse of the first stage DLC for MKX. Which stage would that be? The Pit II from Mortal Kombat II (in Kombat Pack 2, naturally)!
As seen in the video, this appears to be an exact replica of The Pit II, featuring classic imagery such as the gigantic moon in the background, as well as Blaze brawling with Hornbuckle on the 2nd Pit. No ‘Pit’ would be complete without a classic uppercut stage fatality. Will we get our first true stage fatality for MKX when The Pit II is released or will it merely be relegated to a ‘Brutality’ as seen in some other current arenas?
While we still do not have a firm release date for the Kombat Pack 2 (nor can we reserve it yet), there were a few more pieces of information to be found in the trailer. First, for those who haven’t yet purchased Goro for MKX (shame on you!), he will be included when you purchase Kombat Pack 2. Along with characters, you will also receive the Kold War Skin Pack, the Brazil Skin Pack, Kold War Scorpion and something called the “Apocalypse Pack”. The Apocalypse Pack is listed as a Skins pack, but it’s not clear how many, or which, characters will be included. No mention of The Pit II, but it will obviously be included at some point, perhaps even as a free update.
Be sure to watch the new trailer over and over and check back with AZBros.com later for a more in-depth breakdown of what we saw in the video. When more information about the Kombat Pack 2 is released, we’ll be sure to pass it on to you, so stay tuned!
