AZBros Armory: Super Mushroom

The AZBros have played many different games. During this time, we have encountered many power ups along the way. New weapons, armor, food and much much more. Well, on our journeys, we have taken these powerups and kept them here, at the AZBros Armory. However, not every item here is worth taking along with you on your upcoming travels. You see, the AZBros will bring back any item, good or bad. So, lets take a look at some of the power ups that we have stored here. Will the item assist you? Or will it hinder you? Well, there’s only one way to find out, lets venture into the AZBros Armory and see what we can find.

supermushrooms

Ah yes, a Super Mushroom from the Mario games, a very interesting power up indeed. Over the many different games in the Mario series, the super mushroom has not only changed its appearance, but in some cases its properties. You see, normally the super mushroom will increase your size upon eating it. This is the most common use of this power up, however, this is not all it does. I’ll list a few examples of what other uses these mushrooms have.

skullbro2The super mushroom in Mario Kart acts as a speed boost. Feed one of these bad boys into your engine and blow past the competition!

Mario_&_Luigi-Superstar_Saga_(GBA)_31In the Mario and Luigi franchise, mushrooms will restore your health. So if you’re taking a beating, make sure to chow down one of these delicious pieces of fungus to get right back into the action.

As you can see, as well as increasing your size, the super mushroom does in fact have other uses. This power up proves to be a very useful upgrade no matter what game it’s in. So, that just leaves one final question, is there ever a time to pass up a super mushroom?

WVW69iqCwkIhJJPJC5It may seem crazy to not grab a super mushroom if given the opportunity, especially after learning of all of its uses. However, there may be some moments where you’d rather avoid one of these mushrooms. One example of this is in Mario Maker, some creators have used super mushrooms in their stages as more of a hazard as opposed to a power up. You see, small mario can squeeze into some places that big mario can’t. So, by making a stage that requires you to stay small causes mushrooms to seem more like an enemy as opposed to an ally. There are many stages like this in Mario Maker, I personally love this idea, it really makes you look at a super mushroom in a different way. If you get the chance, look for one of these stages and try it out, they’re a very fun and unique take on a Mario level.

So that just about does it, I hope you enjoyed your time here at the AZBros Armory. Hopefully this information will prove to be of some assistance to you on any upcoming video game adventures. The super mushroom is an amazing item and is definitely one of our more helpful powerups here at the AZBros Armory. So remember, the next time you sit down to play a Mario game, be sure to stay on the look out for a super mushroom, it may come in handy.

I want to thank everybody for stopping by to check out the very first edition of the AZBros Armory. I've played video games pretty much my whole life. And I'd say I love them just as much now as I did back then. I really enjoy fighting games and I'm always looking for new ones to try. I really like the competitiveness of fighters, and love testing my skills against other players. However, I also like to just sit back and relax with more casual games, too.
