What the Bleep, Super C?
Hey guys, welcome to Lockjaw’s Lair, where its all about me… Lockjaw. So…. WHAT THE BLEEP, SUPER C? Since when could you charge the fire power-up??? Seriously, the other day I was watching a replay of AGDQ, and if you don’t already know what AGDQ is, well, its a speedrunning marathon where people donate to a good cause while seeing there favorite video games played through really really fast. But anyways, I decided to watch the speedrun of Super C, since its one of my favorite games, after all. Everything seemed normal at first, but then they started talking about how the fire power-is the best for beating the game quickly. Now, I always preferred the spread, but they explained some weird reason why spread is useful but not necessarily the best. Like when you get it you have to deal more hits to different enemies and bosses, stuff like that. Okay, that’s cool, but what I really wanted to know is what makes fire so good. Well, I got my answer alright, it turns out if you hold down the button when you have the fire power-up, it actually makes it more powerful. Think charge beam from the Metroid series. Apparently, if you hold the button down for about a second, the shot becomes more powerful, and goes through multiple enemies…. WHAT THE BLEEP, SUPER C? I mean, really? I’ve played this game all throughout my childhood, actually, throughout my entire life, and never knew that this existed. I don’t know if I should feel dumb, stupid, happy, confused or all of the above. So, to conclude, my mind was blown when I found this out and I’ll never look at or play Super C the same way ever again. But it does make me wonder, what else do I not know about my favorite video games? Well, if I find out, I’ll be sure to let you all know.
That’s all I got for ya this time, but until we meet again, be sure to explore the rest of AZBros.com, ya never know, there might actually be a section as good as this one. Also, feel free to share your thoughts about this Lockjaw’s Lair in the comment section below, and be honest, you never knew about the charged fire shot in Super C either, right? Well anyways, I’m Lockjaw, and I’ll see you next time!
