Mario Maker Showcase – The Impervious Fortress
Course ID/BOOKMARK: 1862-0000-00D8-A421
The Impervious Fortress is a unique take on a Mario Maker level. Essentially, it’s 3 levels in 1. The first part of your journey will teach you the skills needed to undertake this enormous task. After you’ve learned the tricks of the trade, it’s time to put those to good use. Utilize your newfound knowledge and traverse your way under the airship and prepare to face-off with the Koopa King himself, Bowser! You’ll finally step foot into Bowser’s Impervious Fortress where he is heavily guarded and unable to be attacked. That is, unless you’ve paid attention throughout your voyage. Remember what you’ve learned and use this intelligence to overcome Bowser’s onslaught and drop him to his untimely demise.
Congratulations, you’ve conquered The Impervious Fortress…. or have you? Not yet! The Impervious Fortress is filled with many secrets and hidden areas found only by the most adventurous of players. See what you can find! I will tell you that there are 4 secret objectives that can be completed, along with clearing the stage, all in one run with time to spare. What are these secret objectives, you ask? Good question, they are as follows:
1.) Find the 3 secret 1-UP Mushrooms.
2.) Free the 5 Imprisoned Enemies.
3.) Collect the 12 Lamppost Coins (they ring when collected!).
4.) Grab the lone Super Star!
Competing these tasks all while finishing the map is for expert players only. To accomplish everything in one play-through isn’t easy and even the most skilled of players will make that one mistake that ruins everything. Are you up to the task? Can you 100% The Impervious Fortress? Prove it by capturing your play-through and uploading it to YouTube. Post your videos below and bask in your glory of a job well-done.
Thank you for taking the time to check out this course. A ton of time and thought has gone into designing, creating and testing this level. Everything is there for a reason that might not be obvious at first glance. This courses was a labor of love and I hope that translates when you play it. Overall, it’s just meant to be a fun, enjoyable adventure. I really hope you enjoy it!
